Plomesgate comes from name of  the old county ‘hundred’ area that covered much of the beautiful Suffolk Coastal area where the club is based. Typically our members and events are based in the area north of Ipswich encompassing Woodbridge, Saxmundham, Aldeburgh & Framlingham but we do have members from further afield.

The club organises  events throughout the year including:

• An evening time trial series each year for 5 and 10 mile trials which are popular with our club members at all levels but we do enjoy having visiting local riders along too.
• Open 10 an 25 mile time trial events as part of the SPOCO East series in which riders from all over the region compete
• Grass Track race which regularly includes National Level races and attracts competitors from across the country

Plomesgate CC strongly recommends the wearing of a helmet by all riders in our club and open events including club rides.

The club is affiliated to CTT (Cycle Time Trials) who run time trials in the UK, so as a member you are able to enter other clubs’ open events. We are also affiliated to British Cycling with its interests in Road Racing, Track Cycling, MTB, Cyclo Cross, BMX. A number of members regularly race in these disciplines.
