2025-05-29 Evening 10

On a warm evening with a persistent south westerly wind; 12 riders signed on to ride, some travelled from as far as from the Luton area. As in the case of Toby Scott who was holidaying in the locale, and at 12 years old managed to lower the average age of the field by a whole 4 years to 55.75 years. (Let’s face it if Kyle hadn’t of rode the average would have been in the mid 60’s!).

All riders posted their times without any drama despite the closure of the Snape Road and the spectacle of a fire on the building site near the Bentwaters roundabout (and the Tender being despatched from Orford while the event was in progress).

The contestants also had the luxury of a post-race shower to cool off on passing the finish line due to some well-placed irrigation equipment. This was not, however, appreciated by the timekeeper, if you were wondering.
